Tactful AI launched a Conversational Booking Engine — an AI-powered chat solution that seamlessly integrates with hotel booking systems such as Mews PMS, allowing guests to search for rooms, compare prices, and complete reservations through a natural and intuitive conversation within a single chat interface.
Thomas Dieben, founder of digital marketing agency Becurious, and Chris Parker, Chief Experience Officer at Tactful AI, teamed up to develop the innovative engine. They created an advanced solution using language models from OpenAI (known from ChatGPT), tailored specifically to the needs of hotels.
Guests can easily request information about room availability, hotel amenities such as dietary options or pet policies via chat, and complete the booking directly in the conversation. The AI-powered engine removes language barriers, streamlining direct bookings to boost RevPAR, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
The Olympic Hotel in Amsterdam acted as a pilot location, where valuable feedback was collected from guests and employees, allowing the system to be further optimised.
The Conversational Booking Engine is now available for hotels looking to optimise their direct bookings and provide a seamless, guest-centric reservation experience.
